Here in the UK, today is mothering Sunday, so for fellow British mummies, happy Mother’s day and I hope you are feeling as special and loved as I am. Today is no exception though as I am always given hugs and kisses and my daughter is the light of my life.
Little Miss has been very busy at school and home making cards and gifts which I will treasure forever, well the pansies for as long as I can keep them alive…
I am lucky enough to have a good relationship with my mum, which I am very grateful for. Even when I was living in Japan we had regular calls to catch up and of course when Little Miss arrived she made frequent trips to Tokyo to visit us, I mean her first grandchild!
Today was the first time in many years that I have spent the day with my mum on Mother’s day, we haven’t done anything special but having the time together is great. Little Miss instructed my OH to make both of us breakfast in bed which was lovely, as were the yummy chocolates she gave me, however, I think she had ulterior motives with her gift choice…
I would like to take this moment to toast all of the mummies out there for the efforts you make to give your child or children a happy life, and of course take a moment to send my love to those that no longer have their mums in their lives, the mummies that have lost a child and those that are trying to be a mummy…
